The music to this used to creep me right out as a kid. Something proper unsavoury about it.

Gave me nightmares as a kid. Creepy as fuck

What about the man on the bus chatting up school girls and the woman tells him off and takes the scared girls to her house and phones thief parents to come get them.

As they wait, her husband comes home... AND ITS THE BLOKE OFF THE BUS

I was a bit young but remember one which scared the hell out of me. I think a couple's kid dies in a bike accident and they get the chance to have him back. I think the programme ends when they realise that he is at the door and in the state after the accident ... Or something like that! .... Anyone know the episode or what the hell I am recalling?!

the very weird one in the carribbean with the beached giant turtle, and the one with the lodger who's landlady has loads of stuffed animals and he realises too late he has been poisoned and going to be added to her collection.

Mike No! but I do remember the episode where the two old bill are eating this home made pie after looking for a clue off of the so called suspect and saying to the lady of the house ''dont worry we will find evidence'' as they ate him!

The finger one was a classic - they always loved a twist at the end.

Last time I looked, these were on Sky Catch Up/On demand

The werewolf episode with Diana dors...it scared the shit out of me for years. I saw it a few years back again and the werewolf didn't look scary.

The leg of frozen lamb she killed her husband with - that's right I remember it now

Re: Tales Of The Unexpected
Better or worse than Twilight Zone?

I can really only remember the Twilight Zone episode Where the guy is on the plane and he thinks he sees something out on the wing, and goes crazy trying to bring it to the attention of his wife and the crew. They eventually ship him off to the funny farm and the camera pans away to show these scratch marks on the wing.

It turns out, I remember the 1983 version which had John Lithgow and was part of The Twilight Zone movie apparently, whereas William Shatner was in the original in 1963.

When I was a kid and the titles came up, I didn't know whether to shit myself in trepidation of the scary story or touch my willy to the naked dancing women.

As I grew up, I found that both at the same time were perfectly acceptable.

Its The Monkeys hand
The hand grants 3 wishes. I believe the first wish inadvertently caused the accident.
Driven by grief and guilt they wish to have the son come back to life.
Finally as the son returns form the grave as a monster they have to use the final wish to wish their son dead again.

Fucking disturbing!
